WBC Asia title holder Goyat controlled the fight from the start and won with a score of 60–54 on all three judges’ scorecards. Using a variety of combinations and body shots, she consistently overpowered Nunes.
The first round was dominant from Goyette, who overwhelmed Nunes with her explosiveness with a counter left hook and flowing punches.
In Round 2, Goyat dominated early but his momentum waned somewhat in the later stages. At one point Nunes was pushed back against the ropes.
Nunes tried to mount a comeback in the later rounds but was unable to overcome Goyette’s early lead. The Brazilians were never able to find an answer to Goyat’s aggression and accuracy.
Goyat took control of the fight from the fourth round onwards. She dodged Nunes’ punches and landed a powerful body shot that sent Nunes into the corner. A combination of punches followed, showcasing Goyat’s intensity. While Nunes attempted to retaliate, Goyat continued her attack with several punches to the head. Goyat’s dominance was clear in the fifth round. She skillfully provoked Nunes into attack and responded with a flurry of punches, forcing the Brazilian to the ropes. Although Nunes landed an uppercut, Goyat responded with one of her own and finished the round with a series of offensive maneuvers. Goyat maintained his lead in the final round. Despite Nunes needing a knockout to win, Goyat’s aggression prevented any chance. Goyette aimed to deliver the final blow with a series of punches, but was unable to secure a knockout before the final bell.
This win is another milestone in Goyat’s boxing career.
