Asaduddin Owaisi’s controversial slogans throughout oath taking in Parliament deleted

AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi’s controversial slogans after taking oath as a 18th Lok Sabha member on Tuesday has been expunged from Parliament data.

Because the treasury benches created an uproar, Radha Mohan Singh, who was within the Chair on the time, assured the members that something other than the oath wouldn’t go on file.

As Asaduddin Owaisi went to take oath, BJP MPs began chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogan. Unfazed by the chants, Owaisi took his oath in Urdu and ended it by chanting the controversial slogan.

Owaisi defeated BJP candidate Madhavi Latha by 3.3 lakh votes from the Hyderabad constituency within the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

As an argument erupted over his slogan, Owaisi mentioned there was no provision within the Structure that barred him from saying it.

“How is it fallacious? Inform me the provisions of the Structure? You must also take heed to what others mentioned. I mentioned what I needed to,” Owaisi mentioned outdoors Parliament.

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy mentioned the slogan given by Owaisi was “completely fallacious” and towards the Structure.

“On one hand, he’s taking an oath within the title of the Structure and, on the opposite, giving a slogan towards the Structure. The actual face of Owaisi is out. Day by day, they elevate points towards the nation and the Structure,” Reddy mentioned.

Reacting to Owaisi’s slogan, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju mentioned, “We don’t help or oppose any nation, however it isn’t proper to take the title of any nation within the Home.”
