The primary match of the 5-match ODI sequence between Australia and England was performed at Trent Bridge. On this match, Travis Head performed an unbeaten innings of 154 runs, on the premise of which Australia crushed England by 7 wickets. Phil Salt, who was captaining within the absence of Jos Buttler, gained the toss and determined to bat first. England’s crew was all out in simply 49.4 overs. Throughout this, the crew set a goal of 316 runs, which Australia chased with 6 overs remaining and took a 1-0 lead within the sequence.
